On behalf of the Software Freedom Conservancy and the Twisted project
I'm happy to announce that we're looking for a paid maintainer for the
Twisted project.

Funding a software developer to work as a maintainer will help Twisted
grow as a project, and enable Twisted's development community to
increase their output of innovative code for the public's benefit.
Twisted has strict coding, testing, documentation, and review standards,
which ensures excellent code quality, continually improving
documentation and code test coverage, and minimal regressions. Code
reviews are historically a bottleneck for getting new code merged. A
funded maintainer will help alleviate this bottleneck, and speed
Twisted's development.

1. If you've previously sent email make sure you sent it to updated
email address there - it changed recently (though before the
announcement).

2. If you don't hear back after applying please get in touch with me.

3. I've edited that slightly to make it clearer what we want when you
apply.

If anything is unclear, you have any questions, or you're interested but
not sure if you should apply, please send me an email.

-Itamar

I've seen this announcement coming every year or so, and as your link

The Maintainer will provide a monthly written report of their
progress to the Conservancy and the Twisted community.
I never saw here, or anywhere else AFAIK, besides Tom Prince write ups
when he got hired, reports of the progress made through this fellow ship.
Did I miss anything or is there another public place than this mailing
list where I could find the previous fellow ship reports?

Thanks!

Jonathan

We haven't had anyone do this for a while, and in fact unless I'm
misremembering Tom was the last person to do it. So not sure there's
much to look at besides what Tom wrote.
